Message from the President: 2008

Dear SMSHE Members,

First of all we would like to thank all of our supporters that have enhanced our organization.

We have an incredible amount of Venders and Engineers support for our Educational meetings and our outing.

The State Conference was extremely informative and we all got to see some of our brethren and that gave us a chance to catch up with each other; which is always a treat. The information taken away from there enhanced everyone as well as our properties.

Thus far in 2008 our educational meetings have been growing in numbers - we welcome any suggestions for content. Our Golf committee is on track as normal thank you to our Committee Chair. The golf outing will be held again at the Woodlands of Van Buren. The date is Friday, August 1^st and registration is at 8:00 AM. Our Educational and Membership committees are off to a terrific start. There are many new and great ideas we will looking to institute from these groups.

Looking ahead we have the ASHE national conference coming up in Washington DC. We encourage all who are available to attend. This is a terrific source of information. There are also opportunities for interaction with other regions with different challenges, which could offer different points of views on property concerns

Our state conference is coming up in September on the 23^rd through 26^th and is offering some workshops concerning the CHFM & MECH. So, this could be a life changing experience.

Thank you once again to all that have supported and interacted with our regional and state organizations.
