		The purpose shall be to facilitate better patient care through the study of new developments and techniques in hospital plant operation and maintenance. Further, to cultivate friendship among our fellows and maintain a high level of professional character in all endeavors. Further, to provide mutual assistance and liaison between the Michigan Hospital Association and American Hospital Association with emphasis on educational activities directed toward general improvement of hospital service. SMSHE is affiliated with both ASHE, nationally and MiSHE, statewide. Information sharing occurs between all three associations. When you join SMSHE you are automatically a member of MiSHE.
